What are you Chasing?

“When you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” Luke 21:31 (NIV)

We are living in sobering times. You don’t have to look far to see that something has shifted in the world. The headlines scream confusion. The earth groans with disasters. Morality is mocked. Right is called wrong, and wrong is celebrated. People chase fame, clout, and momentary pleasure while ignoring the quiet cry of their own souls.

If you have eyes to see and ears to hear, then you know: we are in the end days.

Jesus warned us. He said that when we see these things, wars and rumors of wars, nation rising against nation, lawlessness increasing, love growing cold, we should look up, because our redemption is drawing near.

So, let me ask you a question: What are you chasing?

Is it money? Is it popularity? Is it approval, success, material comfort, or the next trend that will fade by next season? We chase many things in this life, but are we chasing God?

Because in the end, the things we prize the most, our homes, our cars, our achievements, our families, they can’t go with us when we leave this earth. Not one of them can save your soul. One day, you may look around and someone who sat next to you, laughed with you, worked beside you, will suddenly be gone, caught up by the Lord. Will you be ready?

This is not just poetic language or fear-mongering. This is truth. This is the Word of God. Eternity is not a concept for someday, it’s the reality we are rushing towards, every day we breathe. And so, the question remains:

Where do you want to spend eternity?

Is your heart right with God?

What is the posture of your soul?

You can gain the world and still lose your soul. This generation is intoxicated with distraction. Social media tells us what to look like, how to talk, who to follow. We’re obsessed with filters and trends, with likes and lifestyles that mean nothing in the light of eternity. But none of that will matter when you stand before a holy God. Big eyelashes won’t shield your eyes from His glory. A BBL won’t make your spirit beautiful. Partying won’t drown out the silence of your heart when you lie awake at night and wonder, Is there more than this?

Yes, there is more. There is Jesus. There is grace. There is eternity. And there is still time to turn around. God is not mocked. His mercy is great, but His return is near. The door of the ark is still open, but not forever. Will you enter in? Now is the time to choose. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Don’t harden your heart.

Chase God. Chase righteousness. Chase eternity. Because only what’s done for Christ will last.
